INFRASTRUCTURE
DR.PAULS Engineering College is built on a land area admeasuring 64 acres at Pauls Nagar,which is situated on NH 66, 12 kms from Puducherry. Apart from being India’s first fully air-conditioned college, we are also proud to say that we have a panoramic vista with a leveled landscape which is brought to life by lush greenery and architectural beauty.
With constantly increasing built up facility, our main block which measures a total area of 2,10,000sq.ft in five floors bears testimony to the state of the art infrastructure developed with the architectural brilliance, eco-friendliness and with excellent layout. The engineering and computer laboratories are of high standards and are well equipped. Spacious library with elegant layout is stocked with a wide variety and large number of text books, reference books, journals, magazines and newspapers. For the facility of the students, we also have the campus amenities like STD pay-phone booths and a book store with all kind of stationary items. Needless to mention, there is also a stand by power generator provided in the campus. 
Administrative building
It has been built in the heart of the campus with a floor space of more than 15000 sq. ft. with cubicles for individual operations and is fully air-conditioned. This contains the offices of The Chairman, The Directors, The Administrative Officer, The Liaison Officer, The Accounts Officer and other ministerial staff. A separate Security Office is in the close vicinity of the Administrative building.
Main building
 The main building comprises of 5 floors consisting classrooms, labs. Each of the floor has separate common rooms for boys and girls. Besides, each floor has departmental-wise individual staff rooms well situated at the centre of each floor. Each staff room is equipped with internet-linked computer systems along with modern furniture and amenities. Also each floor is installed with water purifiers attached to water-coolers that deliver fresh and chilled water for the consumption of staff and students. A separate rest room is provided in each floor for use of students in a crisis. All the floors are covered by video through auto-focusing cameras to be observed by the Principal and security so that students and staff are always on the alert. In fact, this prevents major hurdles in the management of the Institution. Apart from wide stair cases for the use of staff and students, two separate lifts are provided on each floor for the exclusive use of Principal, Directors, Chairman and in emergency by one and all. Acute care is taken by the Floor Managers in maintaining a well disciplined, peaceful and harmonious atmosphere in the main building. A separate Doctor’s cabin is made available on the ground floor which is occupied by a staff nurse during the college hours frequented by the Doctor once a day during the evening.
Class rooms
 All the classrooms in our Institution are Fully Air conditioned, well-lit, well-ventilated and well furnished for the convenience of the students and staff as well.. This is the age of technical Video conferencing, e-learning etc, the trends of the modern day. Accordingly, each classroom is provided with a TV and video conferencing facility that has been linked through EDUSAT.
Library
 The college has a central library that has a vast collection of books spanning nearly 50,000 volumes of reference books and journals. It has a seating capacity of more than hundred students at a time. Standard textbooks and books by well –known authors are stocked, and every effort is made to obtain all titles recommended by the faculty. Multiple copies of popular books are bought to make them available to as many students as possible. We also subscribe to 215 journal magazines and newspapers. We spare more efforts to add more volumes each year to cater the knowledge quest of our students.
Laboratories
 Each and every floor has two well-lit computer labs (one at each corner – departmental-wise) outfitted with latest dual core Computer Systems in a neatly furnished & air-conditioned environment conducive to students and staff members alike. Each of the lab has a total of 120 systems which are well networked and easily accessible to broad band Internet round the clock. In fact, there are 6 such labs belonging to different Departments with a total of more than 750 systems inclusive of the systems in the Administrative office and those lying with Departmental Heads.
Apart from this, there are separately built Laboratories specifically for Physics, Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering at a stones throw from the college campus, not to mention of the fully equipped Laboratories existing the Departments of Electrical, Electronics and Communications.
Auditorium
A fully equipped and centrally air-conditioned auditorium is situated just a block away from the main college building. It consists of all the latest gadgets like the musical systems, the high sounding speakers/mikes, well decorated lighting arrangements with podiums that caters to about 1000 persons and a vast dais/stage for performing cultural events and presentation of seminars and symposiums.
Mess
 A spotless, well maintained and spacious dining hall to accommodate 1000 students to dine at a time has been set-up to serve delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. There is a separate dining hall for girls. A hygienic kitchen with all modern amenities is attached. The nutritious food is prepared with the help of unique steam cooking equipment. Food is served hot by uniformed caterers. Different timings are maintained in catering food to one and all. Most interestingly, all the employees, students, staff and visitors are served the same graded food without any differentiation. Hot water, in times of need is also provided. Tea and snacks too are provided to one and all twice a day.
Hostel
To have a feeling of ‘a home away from home’, our hostel complex is a comfortable place to stay; supplies delicious food, free washing and ironing of clothes. Two boys hostels accommodating 400 boys are available inside campus and a separate girl’s hostel with 150 students capacity is available at Puducherry. Full time resident wardens are available to take care of hostellers and to maintain the discipline. A stand by power generator is available with full time attendant in the hostel to operate during power failures. A television hall with satellite facility is provided for the student and movies are screened through LCD projector on Saturdays. A separate telephone line is present to receive and monitor the incoming calls.
Playground As part of its success PEC college emphasizes the importance of sport and considers it an integral part of the student experience. The college has numerous outdoor playgrounds spread over 10- acre area, include

Expert coaching is provided here for promising athletes and other sports persons. There are instructors in KARATE and YOGA too.
Gym According to adage, “sound mind resides in a healthy body” Our Institute’s has a well equipped Gymnasium, one for men and one for women. All the gyms are spacious and well equipped with modern facilities. The gym is equipped with imported equipment.
Transport
The college has its own transport facilities, the transport facilities includes 20 well maintained college buses, which smoothly operates in bringing our students to college in time and also to take them back safely to their home.
The buses are being operated to all important routes in Puducherry and also cover near by places such as Tindivanam, cuddalore and villupuram. We provide separate buses for girls and boys.
