Department Of Electrical And Electronics Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Electronics has been instituted with a vision to meet the World’s sky rocketing demands for electricity. Electrical & Electronics engineering course is intended to train the students to work in the exciting and challenging world which consists of advanced technologies and developments. Recent developments are mainly in the electrical and electronics fields.

When machines are concerned new advances are being made and produced and without electrical energy there is nothing possible in the current world. The Department has been playing a pioneering role in producing world class technocrats. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate.

Starting from the modest beginning the department has grown from strength to strength to become a versatile entity. This has become possible because of the perseverance, sincerity and dedication exhibited by our staff and students.

The department offers B.E program with an annual intake of 60 and M.E program in Power Electronics & Drives from 2011 with an annual intake of 18. The B.E. (EEE) and M.E.(PED) is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University. The department has distinguished faculty, all holding Post Graduate degrees from renowned institute. The faculties of the department have been constantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publish papers in journals/conferences. The Department grew with time, reflecting the needs of a changing society and established new areas of teaching and research in electrical engineering.
